Extruded board is a new type of building material that is now widely used, and it is also a new type of green environmental protection material. First, it can be peeled. The surface of the ordinary extruded board is smooth, and the adhesion between the surface and the adhesive and the coating mortar is poor. We can make the extruded board to be brushed, so that the surface is rough and uniform, which greatly improves the bonding force of the system and increases the reliability. On the other hand, a certain amount of internal stress is released uniformly by peeling.



Second, national standards. In June 2009, Shanghai Construction Science Academy and the National Building Standards Design Institute jointly organized the preparation of extruded board plastering external insulation system technical standards, the industry is trying to strengthen the application of extruded board specifications and standards, so as to ensure the rational use of extruded board in external insulation. The national standard stipulates that the dimensional stability of the peeled extruded board is less than 2.0%, Nanjing OG has done special research for this point, through the external insulation system in a certain area of the expansion joint, you can effectively release the deformation of each layer of the system.


3. Dimensional stability. The industry believes that the extruded board is used for external insulation due to poor dimensional stability, which will cause its dimensional deformation due to the influence of climate, and eventually lead to the cracking of the finish layer coating, which is not as good as the EPS system. In fact, we can see from the elastic modulus of the material in the system that the mortar is about 15500MPa, EPS is about 4 ~ 6MPa, and XPS is about 7 ~ 9MPa. Although the elastic modulus of EPS is slightly smaller than that of XPS, compared with the elastic modulus of mortar, EPS and XPS extruded board are of the same order of magnitude, and the constraints between materials will not change substantially. There is no saying that the restraint effect of mortar on EPS is better than that of XPS, and many engineering examples have also confirmed this effect.
