What is the principle of the insulation function of the extruded board?

Building insulation material is to reduce the indoor heat of the building to the outdoor by taking protective measures on the external structure of the building, so as to maintain the indoor temperature of the building. Extruded board is made of polystyrene resin and blowing agent, flame retardant, color masterbatch and other additives by extrusion to produce a fine and uniform surface and closed cell honeycomb structure of the board, the surface of the hard film formed uniform, the internal closed cell foam continuous uniform, so it has high pressure resistance, light weight, no water absorption, sealing, no degradation and other characteristics.


Low thermal conductivity is a unique condition of thermal insulation materials. Polystyrene is a very good insulation material, the closed honeycomb structure plays a good role in preventing heat conduction, forming a vacuum layer, reasonably avoiding air flow heat dissipation, so that the insulation performance is more permanent. The thermal conductivity of the extruded board is less than 0.028w/mk, lower than other thermal insulation materials, in the construction project usually the thermal conductivity of less than 0.25w/mk material as thermal insulation (heat insulation) material, so the extruded board has high thermal resistance, low linearity, low expansion ratio characteristics, its closed cell rate reaches more than 99%, forming a vacuum layer. Avoid the heat dissipation of air flow, ensure the permanence and stability of its thermal insulation performance, and the advantages are self-evident compared with the closed-cell ratio of other thermal insulation materials.


Therefore, the extruded panel is the preferred choice for building insulation, which is usually used for roof insulation systems, cold storage, refrigerated trucks, and thermal insulation inside and outside the wall, and the effect is remarkable.
